Oslo Exhibition 2026

Human Rights for Sport, in collaboration with partner organisations, is planning a publicly accessible photo documentary exhibition accompanied by a series of panel discussions, to be held in Oslo . The exhibition invites a broad public audience to engage with a rarely discussed issue: the ways in which athletes around the world are punished, silenced, imprisoned, or killed for exercising fundamental human rights, including freedom of expression, peaceful protest, and ultimately the right to life. Through documentary photography, archival material, and concise narrative texts, the exhibition presents documented stories of athletes whose public visibility, voices, or actions have placed them at risk under politically repressive regimes and in contexts of armed conflict.
